I had GAP build an upper with a Rock barrel 4 or 5 years ago and have always shot my reloads. (At the time the upper was delivered in about 2 weeks) Military brass, around 10% less powder because of case volumn, in general light loads, but what a shooter. I just picked up a case of Black Hills 168 grain, 2650 fps per BH. I have never had the nerve to shoot the same reloads in my AR10 that I shoot in my Bolt 308. Is the Black Hills Ammo too hot to shoot in my AR10?

In general if it's modern FACTORY ammo it will work as designed in a modern rifle. No worries w/ BH 168 out of an AR-10. FWIW I've run my bolt gun loads in an AR-10 w/o issue. (175/178 @ 2710 fps) IMHO, YRMV, etc....
