I want to try the 168 amax bullet with 4064 powder. The crusader is an 1/11.25 twist. 308 winchester. Is anyone using this combonation and can reccomend and accuracy load.

My GAP Crusader shoots the Berger 175 Match Target VLD's sub MOA at 100, 400, and 600 (haven't shot farther yet) using Lapua brass and 44.2 grains of Varget, OAL to fit in the AI mags.

Ask the same question, but with Varget powder, and there will be dozens of answers. 4064 may be great powder, but sometimes its better to run with the crowd favorite, just because loads are easier to find.

Ask the same question, but with Varget powder, and there will be dozens of answers. 4064 may be great powder, but sometimes its better to run with the crowd favorite, just because loads are easier to find.

2.805 C.O.A.L.
So far I'm very happy with this load. Last group I shot with it was 5/8" at 200 yds. I don't know how it performs at longer ranges though because I really haven't stretches my GAPs legs yet.

Gap Crusader. 175 smk. 44.5 varget. Rem 9 1/2 lr. Lapua brass. At 2680fps. 2.815" First time I tried 1k I hit a 5" group.
