Saturday was a great day for me, I am still in shock. A dear friend gave the rifle pictured below as a gift. My shooting buddies agree it's a very nice rifle but can't appreciate the gravity of this gift so I figure you guys would and I want to tell somebody.

Hopefully I can break it in this week and shoot it soon, I'm pretty stoked to say the least.

Wow. While a gift like that says something about your friend, it also says something about you. Hats off.

Re: GAP / new owner

SOunds like you must be one heck of a good person, for a friend to be that generous. Awesome to hear this. Your shooting buddies may be a little jealous and did not want to show their excitement for you.

Do you shoot at Palmetto GC? I would like to see it shoot as I am considering a gap myself.

Re: GAP / new owner

It's new and I hope this post didn't come across in a conceited manner. I'm still in shock and over the past two days I'm only 12 rds into the break in. I have shot at palmetto but that was several years ago but GAP makes a fine rifle.

Re: GAP / new owner

VERY NICE!....I own a GAP myself and love my rifle. I feel if you own a GAP why not tell.

Now I need to decide on a GAP-10 and whether I want to stay with .308 or toy with the new 6mm Creedmoor...Hmmm, decisions, decision.

Now go shoot it - JaxOps

Wish I had a friend like that when I was saving pennies, wife pregnant, and unemployed...and still got my GAP! Dude, that's outstanding, welcome to the GA club. Good stuff man, good stuff. She's a keeper, believe it.

Eehhhh...if you ever want to real rifle, I got a wicked bone stock Marlin 795 I'd trade with you. I would even throw in the $25 rebate I got with it as an added incentive. Just kidding, that is a nice rifle...I'm jealous my friends suck!

Re: GAP / new owner

Unless your "friend" gave you a life time supply of ammo for that rifle I say get a new friend. That like giving a buddy his first beer, you know he is going to want more, only the next one is on him. Congrats on the rifle and finding great friends like that one. Good luck on picking out his next gift.
