Is the Gen 2 Templar action from GAP like a 700 as far as fitting goes? Can the Templar action fit into a McMillan A5 stock and use Badgers A4 floor plates? with 700 trigger?

Another word is it a Rem 700 compatible action?

Thank you

Re: GAP Templar Action Question

Not 100% compatible. Can it fit an A5? Yes, with some minor inletting.
But I could not use it for my tube gun with the recoil disk, since the lug was forward and the recoil disk would not make contact with the stock.
For most of the stocks though, any smith can fit a Templar wherever an M700 would fit.

Re: GAP Templar Action Question

Ok, thank you fellows. So is the rear guard screw and front guard screw for the Templar action located in the same position/fashion as rem700?

thanks guys
