Re: GAP10 yet
I chronographed mine with M119LR with an 18" Barrel... they were 2556fps however, that said I have shot it too 1000 yards with the DA @ 2500+ here in South Texas.
With M118LR I needed 10.3 Mils of elevation and with Bryan Litz's Ammo I needed 10 Mils even.
The weather has been terrible here for shooting groups, but I have managed 7 for 7 hits at 1000 yards on a 1.5 MOA target during our class here, and with the Litz Ammo I have gained 3/10th of Mil in both elevation and Windage over standard M118LR ammo.
So, because of the heavy winds we have been having I would question my Chrono Numbers a bit, the winds are just gusting here something fierce. Between 12MPH and 16MPH on average so everything is just blowing everywhere, still the GAP hits hard.
I did a 10 shot group on Paper at 500 yards today, the winds, still blowing about 12MPH were coming from 5:30 to 7:30 where blowing the standard M118LR off the target about 10" while I held center on an 8" Shoot N C I managed 8 out of 10 hits in the black, the guys with the M118 were off the target compared to the Litz ammo with just a slight hold. I had one shot that hit right because the wind changed rapidly and I saw just as broke the shot. Which cause me to miss right. So the Applied Ballistics Ammo definitely cheated the wind a bit.
At 500 yards I only needed 3 mils of elevation to hit center. The GAP 10 is definitely shit hot. I just wish conditions were bit better for groups, but springs winds will blow.
