I have been seeing a lot of great stuff about the 6.5 SAUM. I haven't seen a lot of info about hunting with it. What would this round be good for if I were to hunt with it?

How would it compare to a Lazzeroni Warbird? I currently have a Warbird and love it... I also, love long range shooting and this 6.5 SAUM has peeked my interest a lot. I know the Warbird is a barrel burner.

What's the largest animal the 6.5 SAUM would be good for?

Have you been on snipershide? theres lots of stuff about hunting with it there. there is a hunting subforum, with several threads discussing many hunts with it.

Thanks, I will take a look. I haven't spent a lot of time on this forum, mostly 6.5 Grendel one. Thanks

I know elk are no problem, I'm sure most bear would be no problem either. I'm looking at one for target/deer because that's all I could use it for mainly. You going white rhino hunting?

Yeah I was thinking...since I have a Black Rhino why not be so racists and get a white one... looking for an Elk round and possible moose

Hahaha, I hear ya. I think you would be fine with it. Moose I might look into other cartridges but it can most certainly do it. I would not have the experience to say either way. I'm betting that if your a handloader it will be one of your favorite rounds.

    DRINK THE DAMN COOL-AID!

That's what I am talking about! Loading some of these up and having a great precision rifle as well
