That would be pretty cool to be able to keep the measuring unit set up and have a Garmin watch show you the information and yell at you when the conditions have changed enough to affect your plans.

About the only thing I can think of to make a kestrel better is to add a numbered keypad and make it more user friendly. It already does everything else really well if you know how to use it

One of the best things about the Kestrel is that it is easily read in sunlight.

My Garmin products are not known for this.

Does provide for the aftermarket sunshade economy though……
