This post may be obscure because the malfunction happened to a freind who lives out of state. I just heard the story and am perplexed?

Brand new gun,

Took it to the range and put 30 rounds through it.

A week later back to the range. Put a mag and a half through it and the gun went click.

The charging handle would not pull the bolt back.

At home on the bench it took a mallet to get the BCG out and a brass punch to remove the bolt from the carrier.

Upon further inspection he found that the rear gas ring on the bolt had partially came out and was the cause of the jam.

The rifle has a full auto BCG with a carbine gas system. It is the LMT Patrol rifle.

Ammo was Black Hills reloads.

I told him to install new rings and use more oil. He is not known for heavy lube.

Thanks for your input.
