Geddy Lee

Rush, not my bag of tea really but there is no denying the talent there. For me Lee is a far better bassist than a vocalist.

You want a vocalist - Lou Gramm is your ticket!

Hell yes Geddy Lee!!!! My childhood and adult hero. Finally got to meet him during his book signing. After 100 shows one would have thought I’d have met them all ??. .

Alex is no slouch either?. And that drummer guy. He’s not bad either. I’m just glad we got Neil back for the 13 years we did.

Yeah. I’m a bit of a fan. It’s slightly.

Rush is the best band ever with the best drummer, guitarist, and bassist ever. Ever was. Ever is. Ever will be. Period.
I’m in infinite agreement with everything you said.

Seriously. Why doesn’t Lerxst get more credit? His guitar sound is so distinctly his own. Chords that build high like mountain or notes that fall gently, like rain.?. Any guitarist who can stand with Ged and Neil has to be not good, but great. Alex soapbox over.

When I listen to their music, I hear three virtuoso solos that happen to be playing simultaneously.

It's not unusual for a band to have ONE stand-out musician who is particularly talented. But, what are the odds that THREE virtuosos happened to meet up and form a band called, RUSH?

Alex, Geddy, and Neil are musicians' musicians.

If there is a god, 2020 would be the year of the R45 Tour.
I am holding out that Neil blows more money on cars and motorcycles and needs to fund his daughter’s Ivy League education and that an R50 happens - better chance of a Powerball win - but I still hold hope.

Geddy Lee's voice makes Rush unbearable to listen to. Any other singer and people all over the country wouldn't scramble to change the radio station when they hear the nails on a chalkboard that is his signature sound.

Different strokes as they say. I just cannot imagine their music as being so signature if he sounded like Johnny Cash.

Love his voice. So unique and perfectly suited for Rush lyrics. All part of the Rush "signature." I understand that some people "don't get it." That's OK.

I've often referred to the Rush niche as "Rock for intellectuals."
