So my Gempro 250 died and I sent it back for replacement. It was replaced under warranty but they sent me a Gempro 500 instead. I contacted them to see it they shipped me the wrong one. I got this response today for anyone interested.

"The reason we sent the 500 is because after numerous failed calibration tests we have now begun to replace the GemPro 250’s & 300’s with the GemPro 500’s. They are testing with unreliable results and as of now the best option we have is the 500. If you do find another one of our scales you feel will work better for you than the 500 we sent please reach out to me and we can get it taken care of.

Now that's customer service!

I also have a gempro 250 and it's been perfect going on 15 years now. Even so, good to know they stand behind their lifetime warranty.
