the robber placed his gun on the countertop to put the money into a plastic bag. The clerk grabbed the gun and pointed it at the robber and he fled. He came back inside the business, and the clerk again pointed the gun at him. The robber then turned and fled in a dark-colored passenger car.

They arent always the sharpest. Living in the hood in NOLA we had a crackhead wander into the house and start unhooking the TV we were all sitting around watching- didnt even notice us 8 feet away. 4 guys all 19-20 playing a drinking game no less to what was on the tube- we werent exactly quiet lol. Crack really must be a helluva drug. After exchanging looks of disbelief one of my roomates picked up his lacrosse stick and started beating the tar out of the dumbass. He had his moment of clarity and it was pretty priceless to see on his face. Fucker ran off before I could even get something a bit more serious than the stick. At least it ended in laughter and a lot of 'did that really just happen?!"

Figure the smart thieves become bankers. The rest, not so much.
