I was looking specifically for references to Victory Not Vengeance, or VNV Nation, as a more melodic, danceable electronic alternative to this kindergarten clanging so often popular among those mourning the passage of time and the Wiking Panzer Division.

Hmmm I’ll Have to wait till I get home and can listen to it on an actual stereo. I listen to just about every genre of music except country.
A quick google and I learned man on a buffalo went on a bender showed his junk to a class of 3rd graders missed the opening of his own movie spent his millions really quick and stabbed his own brains out with a knife. Bummer. For a minute he came across to me as a pretty awesome although fictional, heroic Frontiersmen.

Well when fight is reduced to singing some songs of a long gone era, whose ancestors are turning in their graves because of the actions and lunacy of their successors its truly the end and what end more fitting than final act being sung by beings once enslaved and frowned upon.

The message is a clarion on what is actually happening there, its not ugly it just is. The other way is to get back to their viking roots and get viking on the invaders asses., right after they kill those responsible among their own ranks. So its get extinguished or get Viking.
