Getting it done in Oklahoma

Yeah, problem is they don't wanna put those on the news because usually if an armed citizen confronts a shooter, then it either slows down or stops the shooter before he stacks up a body count. News loves body counts, so we'll always hear about how bad it is and little about "good Samaritans". In fact, they've demonized some before, claiming they were "vigilantes" instead. What double standard bullshit.

It's like when nobody heard about the guy that stopped the shooting at an Oregon mall, once the guy drew and returned fire he ran to a stair well and ended himself before the shooting really got started. Or when that guy took down a bad guy that just shot up a cop and was about to get away, he just pulled over, got out and popped his ass and assisted the cop.

And if they DO mention it, it's always in passing, NEVER a week long story going on and on about how a citizen stopped a tragedy and how we need more people like him or her.

The police praised the guy for stopping the crazed shooter, but the news media tries their hardest to slant the stories & headlines to make the guy sound less heroic so that they don't have to admit that good people carrying guns are the best answer to bad people who want to do bad stuff.
