So Cal
Can anyone give me a review of these products?

X-heavy vs. Std on the GG&G and side mount version on the CAA.

I'm aware of the Atlas and Versa, but are there any others to look at?

Looking to put it on an AR10 w/26"BRL. (This thing is heavy)

Re: GG&G CAA Bipods

I have the GG&G on my Cheytac. It feels very sturdy on the rifle. The legs lock with a locking mechanism that requires you to press a foot to release them. I like that better than most bipod setups I've seen. You can adjust it for tightening/loosening the swivel, pivot, etc. My gun is very heavy and the GG&G holds it up good. Once you play with one and feel how well constructed it is, you'll fall in love with it.

Re: GG&G CAA Bipods

I've got both the swivel as well as the non-swivel GG&G bipods (the regular Heavy Duty, not the extra, whatever that means).
Have no complaints using it on a Mod0/1 pattern SPR, suppressed, with NV/illuminator.
I would hate to have to carry a weapon that would need a stronger bipod.
Even a heavy contour 20" AR-10 with a suppressor, an extra mag taped to the first, big USO scope, weaponlight & laser, and a PVS-27 on the rail wouldn't really "need" more bipod than the GG&G, would it?
