Just got a Giraud trimmer for 6.5x47, 308 and 338 Lapua. The 308 and 6.5 work awesome however when using the 338 die for trimming the brass sticks and I can't get consistent trims. This is after full length resizing. Anyone have any experience with this?

I had this problem with my 6AR set up. Had to open the hole for the neck. Just used a bit of valve grinding compound on a nylon bore brush. I used a 223 bore brush with a patch wrapped around it. Go slow.

It turned out that the middle of the case was where it was getting stuck not at the neck so what I did mike make you cringe but it worked great. I used a dremel and a fine grinding stone. I went real slown and it came out perfect. Even went as far as to repolish the inside.......CUSTOM. I'm just happy you gave me the idea. Trimmed 25 perfect cases that all came out within .001 of each other with a nice uniform chamfer. Thanks!
