Somewhat new to glock gens and used prices... how much would you be comfortable paying for a unmolested Gen 3 G34...used but not abused?

No mods and careful use on a box stock gun in nice shape and blue label was not an option.... up to $440 plus shipping or transfer. If I could buy blue label, probably $400. Anything useful added to it, add accessory cost at about a 50% depreciation rate. I just sold one here for a little less than that.

These things don't really wear out. I have one with 35-40k rounds that is functionally even nicer than a new one. Trigger doesn't really start to wear in until 5-6k rounds.

A lot of used 34s were gaming guns...watch for breech face pitting from shitty reloads or frame battering from recoil springs that were too light. The other thing that comes from glock frame battering is the locking block pin loosening.

$440 shipped, not a chance I pay shipping on a used Glock.

$440 would be way too much for a 17 or perhaps even a 19 but 34s tend to do much better in resale. It might be that they are less common and the market for them has not been flooded with police trades. I'd hesitate to give $300 for a used .40 of any kind other than a 35 at this point.

you make a good point don’t find many people selling used 34s. I’ve paid $440 plus tax twice on used Glocks. However, it was for a 17, and 22 RTF2 both immaculate and both with gills. I still have them both.

The "Gill Glocks" also seem to be worth a little more. I remember seeing WTB threads for the RTFs

4-450 would be fair. I don't see a ton on the used market although they do come up in waves when the next new competition hotness comes to market.

They used to be a significant majority in USPSA production but I see fewer and fewer of them next to the CZs and Tanfoglios that are starting to be everywhere.

Putting a stock Shadow 2 next to a stock G34, it is hard to believe they are even in the same division.

Are you married to the gen 3? I like the upgrades made to the gen 5 if not. If just trying to save money, which I respect, $400-450 is fair. The 34's seem to bring a hair more around me on the used market, but they don't come up for sale as often.

I’d agree with that, I was lucky enough to get my Gen4 34 on a blue label deal. The Gen5 34 seems very appealing.
