I have seen the glock 40 factory rebuilds at times but none as of recent

If anyone happens to see one in stock somewhere please drop me a pm.

Also if you have any feedback/experience with the 10 mm glock please let me know.

How spicy are you looking to load it? The Glocks do pretty well (better than I ever thought) but an aftermarket barrel with full case support helps if you want to run a steady diet of Buffalo Bore or atomic handloads.

I’m not certain on how hot I’ll be going. This will be my first venture into the Glocks and the 10mm auto.

My first loads will be 180gr xtp and longshot.

It’s primary purpose will be bear defense as a last resort.

I am kinda curious as to the performance difference between the 20 and 40

Love mine, 20 and40 gen4s.

I used to own a Glock 20 gen 2 in 45 acp and didn’t like how it fit my hand. I carry a Glock 40 MOS in 10 mm with Buffalo Bore 220 gr hard cast lead flat nosed ammo when I am in the backcountry for the magazine capacity and reliability. I prefer how my Sig 1911 10 mm shoots/recoils; the Glock seems to “flex” when I shoot it. I never had an issue with cycling or reliability, just more give. Some people might like it more.

The other option is a g20 with longer barrel. I run a 6" glock barrel in my g20 and the extra 100fps i get makes a difference. I also have a 6.61" threaded barrel for suppressed fire. Have or have owned several 10mm autos (G20, Springfield XDM, SIG220, S&W 1006...). Prefer the Springfield over the Glock.
