Was surprised to hear at first but makes sense they redesigned the gun to not accept switches. Too many states and counties are suing glock because hood rats are shooting each other up with them.

Its pretty hilarious because anyone who has shot a FA glock knows its about the most uncontrollably thing you could shoot and you would be lucky to hit something 7 yards away. Even with a stock conversion the ROF is way too high.

Well that’s interesting.

Originally we were told that everything but the 43, 43X and 48 were going to be replaced.

The list of discontinued models on the page you linked does not list the Gen 5 G17 (other than the MOS) or Gen 5 G19 or the 17X or 19X.

I’m sure there are other current models that are not on that list, either.

This looks more like a consolidation than a response to commie state lawsuits.

I guess we will know what will continue to be available soon enough.

I worked a GSSF match 2 yrs ago and won a pistol in the raffle for volunteers. When I went to redeem it Glock USA said, "no G17 MOS under this certificate, and going forward there will be no G17 MOS only G47 MOS." Others told me that long-term G17 will be replaced by G47. But that's just words from Glock fans I know, the "no more G17" part.

Consolidation is always a smart move for a mfr. Sometimes too much choice overwhelms customers who come to you looking for a pistol. Glock navigates this to an extent with a sort of modularity. But I'd bet they would do fine with a simpler line of pistols like what CZ offers in polymer striker fired, P-10 series.
