Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock

Redlion -- I should tell you, if you shoot the C in a match and think about using the F's 22rd factory magazines for extra capacity? Don't do it.

The factory 22rd magazine is too long for the USPSA magazine length gauge. It puts you in Open (vs Production or Carry Optics). Happened to me last match, using P10 F. I assumed they fit the gauge or CZ wouldn't provide them, dumbass me.

I own:

Gen 3 Glock 17: awesome trigger, feels better than the decent aftermarket trigger i put in my G19

Gen 3 Glock 19: had a pretty shitty stock trigger

Glock 42: decent enough trigger

Issued (over the last 10 years):

Gen 4 Glock 17: good trigger, as far as stock Glock triggers go

Gen 4 Glock 17: noticably worse than the other gen 4 G17, still ok

2x gen 4 Glock 26: both crappy triggers

Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS: good trigger for a Glock

In addition to my personal/issued Glocks i've shot or dry fired probably another 30-40 Gen 4 and 5 Glocks...
What i noticed over the years is that the variance from one Pistol from the same production lot (consecutive serial numbers) to the next is so large that you can't possibly say "gen 5 triggers suck" or "gen 4 triggers are awesome" or anything along those lines. In my opionion it's pretty much a matter of luck whether you get a "good" trigger in your Glock or a shitty one.

That said I'm so used to Glocks that it doesn't hinder or enhance my performance at all really, it simply doesn't matter. Sure when you test them and dry fire them in the armory one feels nicer than the other, but if you know how to properly grip that pistol and lock it in you can fire that gun as fast as you want and the little nuances in the different triggers don't matter.

For those who like a lot about Glocks but hate the effective grip angle, CZ P10, Shadow Systems, and now Ruger's RXM, seem to have done a great job fixing the bad grip angle.

Though not Glock-ish clones, the S&W M&P 2.0, Sig 365, and HK's VP, are great pistols too.

I haven't owned any Glocks since I sold two gen 4 models.
