Hi,
I tried to remove the Limbsaver recoil pad from my Fierce rifle. I stuck about every tool possible in the two screw holes to remove it, with no luck. So I called Fierce today to ask what fasteners they used. The guy told me that they glue/ bond their recoil pads on their stocks. I still want to remove it to shorten the stock a bit. I'm handy and have successfully shortened two other expensive stocks I own. But those pads screwed on. So before I blunder into this and screw something up, does anyone have any advice, tricks or techniques they could share on removing a glued on recoil pad without destroying it? I'd like to reuse it. If I'm successful with that, I'd probably screw it back on. But if I was to glue it back on, any thoughts on what to use? Thanks in advance.

Band saw or a hack saw then grind the pad to size also flat and clean before reattaching. I glue mine on with 5 minute JB Weld. Screw driver through the guard screw hole and rubber bands. Clean up with acetone then finish the edges after the epoxy sets up.
