As an example...$62 to ship a 1000 rounds of 45ACP.
I contacted them about it once and their reply was basically...."So".
It was actually cheaper "total price" to pay more for the ammo from another vendor who offered much cheaper shipping.

I've found that often to be true. Gun Mag Warehouse seems to have reasonable shipping. As does Gman.
Targetsportsusa.com has reasonable prices and free shipping if you buy a case.
I've been a prime member there for 5-6 years, mainly to get free shipping on even just 1 box.
Their stock has really sucked, and prices have gotten higher than other places even with shipping. I won't be renewing.
Right now Midway for the IMI razor core (until the war drains the supply), and lately Fenix for 9mm and .45ACP.

Bucking Horse has free shipping on orders over $175. Their prices are a tad higher, but once you hit the $175 point it's similar if not a tad cheaper. Though these days they have some wait on order fulfillment.
I like Grabgun for price but have to by alot of ammo to justify the $12.95 flat shipping rate.
Really? When I try to check out they charge $400 for shipping of 1000 rnds 6.5 creedmoor. I dont care where in the country they are and where you are. That should never cost more then $90. They are a rip-off

SG Ammo is usually my go-to, but they were jacking up prices while tooting the "shortage" horn during the latter part of October and into November. Their prices have recently come back down to earth, and even have some stashes of 7.62x39 listed.
I have a membership at TargetSport USA. I tend to buy about 3,000 to 4,000 rounds of .308 175gr Federal Gold Metal Match per year so I find the membership is worthwhile just for that alone.
