Going rate for a used mrad?

Looking at possibly selling my used Barrett mrad. Looking for honest opinions as to what I should post it for.Literally put less than a box through it sighting it in. 338 lapua Barrett bronze in color with the pelican case, extra mag, all paperwork, nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 sfp mildot with extra height mark 4 rings. Atlas bipods and monopod. You couldn't tell it was used if I didn't tell ya.

I'm not in the market but if I were I would be interested enough to make you an offer if you were asking 5,750 shipped/insured for the rifle, scope, mounts, bipod, and monopod. If you were willing to start there then after a bit consider a reasonable offer you could sell it.

On the other hand you could just pick up a .260 or a .308 kit and shoot it every day.

He did not say he is selling it, he said he is looking at possibly selling it. To me that means his wife just bought some trinket for about the same money and when criticized responded with "well you got that Barret and you don't even shoot it that much. So now he has to do a bit of research so he can come back with "yeah but I can sell the Barret for 6k any day of the week if we need money, how much can you sell your Prada for?"

And its the 'old' rail as well. If it needs a breech conversion, take that out of your asking price too.

Last April EuroOptic was selling them in Tungsten (unfluted) for $4,175) While I'm not saying you could find that deal today, For myself if I were buying a used one I would want to pay less than that.

Edited to add: TheGerman is right if you need the breech conversion kit knock off another $450.

It doesn't sound to me like you need to sell it it sounds like you need to pull the .338 barrel off and put on a .260 barrel then shoot it. Go to the range, take a course, enter a match, kill some critters, do it again----then if you want to sell it at least it will be used.
