Going to get another AR.

I'm getting to old to carry around a heavy log. I want a rifle that is light fairly accurate to hunt deer with and won't brake my bank. I pretty much have my mind set on a Colt LE6920MP (.223 & 5.56) which is selling for $1149.00 in my area. I am planning on putting my 3.5x10.5x45mm scope on it.

Has anyone tried one of these and what ya think????

.223 or 5.56 right? Make sure it's legal for deer in your area, a bit small but more states are opening up to it.

Doesn't anyone have one of these and what do you think of all the Magpul parts attached? Does anyone have one of the stock folding thingys? Does it stay tight or does it get sloppy over time? AR Folding Stock Adapter

Colts are always gonna be nice, but give a look at something with a mid-length gas system. I would try looking at something with a mid-length gas system. It'll shoot softer and the rifle won't beat down on itself. I prefer fixed stocks with scoped ARs.

Fixed front sights are great for those running a dot sight and want to co-witness or run a BUIS, but not for those wanting to run a magnified optic. If you're set on Colt, save yourself the blur in the bottom of your scope that will aggravate the hell out of you and get a 6900. The 6900 would be a better choice. Full floated as well. I have a 6920LE and it is decent. I plan on keeping it bone stock, and just runnig the irons on it. I find myself loving my own-built AR's much more though. Have you considered building one? You could go with great lightweight components and end up with an even better shooting and lighter weight platform that is more scope friendly for about the same money, or cheaper... It just won't say Colt on the side.
