I hate to break it to you, but gold is on average $250 or more, over spot for 1oz government mint coins, and supply is really short.
Much the same as Silver is doing $7 to $10 over spot for minted coins.
Dealers are paying pretty high premiums for anyone willing to bring stuff in.

There is a huge disconnect between "paper" prices and actual physical prices and the supply is as low as I have seen in a long time.
Dealers and everyone are having a very hard time getting any physical.

you would do well to go into slv or gld spot price online no closed stores or a local dealer . 321 gold is also a good place to start to understand. you can sell at spot no premium , but physical in your hand will cost . diversify

Local dealers near me sell the Eagles at $125 over spot and the other gold coins at around $85 over spot. But the dealers and coin stores don't pay the sellers very much when they are in need of cash selling their gold coins back to them. I am offering more then the dealers would buy your gold coins from you and I am paying $75 over spot.

I don't know any dealer selling Gold Eagles at $250 or higher on average over spot like W54/XM-388 claims???

I see them online selling for on average at $150 over spot. Some places around $120 over Spot price.

This makes sense. It’s a win-win. Both the buyer and the seller get a deal. The Buyer gets better than dealer cost and the seller gets better sell price than if selling to a dealer. Money metals exchange only pays $25 over spot on version 2 Gold American Eagles and $30 over for Version 1.

keep on Stacking!
