Rifle Scopes Good buy or not?

I was out of town last week and decided to stop buy one of my favorite gun stores on the way home, anyway they had a Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56, Mildot with the target knobs, for $1500 bucks. The scope was a second focal plane, which was kinda wierd to me, because I didn't know Zeiss even made those.

Just curious if its a good buy or not? Its not Illuminated and its MOA adjustments so I think a new one would run around $2200ish

After having one, I've grown fond of FFP, mil/mil and lit reticle. For that much cash, I'm sure you can pick up something better. For shooting day in and out they have really made a difference in how easy follow up shots are.

To answer your question, that is a fair to good price on the Zeiss if it is in excellent condition.

Yea I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and order the SN-3 USO that I've been drooling over for 6 months, lol
