good lower with no caliber designation?

I would recommend a look at Seekins Precision. Fit and finish is excellent.

Tactical Machine out of Florida I have used their AR 10 format lowers with great success. JR is great to work with.

They have AR "Multi-Caliber" markings

I have a Stiller that I really like. VERY nice lower.

That said, my current favorite lower is the AXTS AX556 (though it's a bit more flashy than it sounds like you want).

that's not "flashy" that's a fine piece of functional perfection.. I have nothing against function but all the oversized logos and excessive writing I am not a fan of.. but this thing looks like a work of perfection!!

Oh it's flashy. The Pmag styling on the mag well, logo on the trigger guard, etc

I like the pmag design over having lets say.. a massive manufacturer logo on the mag well.. or art such as skull, spider, crosshair, deer, sharks, shark teeth.. etc etc

didn't see the emblem on the trigger guard yet though.. ill find some more pics..

Finish and fit of the custom parts is absolutely top-notch. It assembled well, and all the controls are very smooth and easy to manipulate. I also recommend the 45 degree Battle Arms safety.
