Good OCW Test Today 75 AMAX and H4895

Five charge weights, all basically same poi. One nasty node, scatter. Four good to great groups. I re shot the nasty. It was nasty again, 23.7. I stopped at 23.9 with a nice group of three touching. No pressure. I think it is a low side. I am going to try a few up and hope the middle is near. These were 2.440 oal, .014 off. Exciting. May be time to get the chrono out.
I have read that 'one may find 24 is about the number'. Interesting.

I've had very good results with H4895 and the 75gr Amax. In .223AI and standard .223

What powder were your best results with , 75 amax / 223?

My charge weight with the 223 ai is 24.5 with Lapua brass. With Win brass it was almost a grain more. I would have to dig my notes out on the 223 and 4895, don't own that rifle anymore. I don't think I made it to 24grs in my Rem tactical, not from pressure but groups opened up.

Any idea on the velocities with the 75 Amax?

Not yet, need a chrony. It's at the smith right now getting a paint job. As soon as I get it back, soon I hope. I'll get you some info.
