Fieldcraft good source for sling webbing and cordura?

Re: good source for sling webbing and cordura?

sweet. i actually have 2 of your slings mike. good kit no doubt.

i wanted to throw together a couple 1.5'' simple slings for some other rifles, and i needed to make a new cuff for yours cause i lost the gd thing in a move. whats a good source for the HD sling mounting points you use?

need some coyote brown cordura for reinforcing the knees of some of my older tru-spec 24/7 pants. i use them as work pants, love the pockets but i've worn through the knees of one pair and i'd rather avoid it if i can reinforce them for cheap. i was gonna make a couple cheapo padded scope covers and some other misc schwag too. figured i needed maybe 2yrds total.

let me know

Paragear is just a little too full-retail high price spendy @ times for materials . but they will do the small sales by the yard.
If you got no account with a supply house & If your looking into full-rolls prices then maybe Try looking into DJ Associates for webbing and mil. spec. hardware too . but* DJ's will do you a better price on there Hardware over the Paragear prices .

what someone else said too. if possible, Always stick with a quality Nylon weave on the webbing for superior strength and abrasive wear over Poly weaves.
The only thing that Poly will have over Nylon is that it will take a more UV burn before it starts it's chemical structural break-down & it is cheaper on the price . Cheaper price & good UV wear is why you see Poly as being used in the majority of outdoor upholstery, awning and such . but Poly can't even hold a candle to quality Nylon weave in strength and abrasion wear. Same for your bonded nylon threads.

but if your buying good quality Nylon tapes, webbing etc. and it not true Mil. spec. Rating . that is not necessarily a bad thing . they still usually are pretty great in quality . Mil. spec. Rating are a 'Must Have' in the USA and is only related to FAA TSO's on the Flight/Para side of things along with Fed. & military qualifying guidelines in securing Gov. manufacturing contracts .
