Ran this past weekend with a work colleague and his friend. What a great race! If you like things like Tough Mudder, Spartan Race or Savage Race...this is the race for you! The obstacles were legit military obstacles, complete with classics like; the dirty name, belly buster, A frame, confidence climb, weaver, etc. Also, the "Wobbler" which apparently is unique to the Green Beret "Nasty Nick" course (which is where the Nasty gets it's name).
It took a long time to run this course, mostly due to waiting. Expect LONG lines at the obstacles. These obstacles take a little time to navigate, under the best of circumstances. This is especially true considering the majority of runners will have never have encountered them before. If you want to run for a time, go in an early wave. That said, even with the wait it was totally worth it.
My guess is that the race will have the bugs worked out the next time around, since this was the first running.
