What freebore does the hide recommend for 6.5x47lapua when running heavy bullets. I will be running 140 SMK, berger 130-140 vld, berger hybrid and lapua scenars. I have never loaded for this caliber and dont have 1 bullet in mind but a variety in the 130 to 140 weight class. I am going to go with either a 28 or 30 straight bull barrel for my rpr. 8 twist should be good with that barrel length but what do you guys think. Also no i dont want 6.5 creedmoor

I'm using a 165 fb and it's working well, but I would ask your gunsmith. I have 2 x47s with different freebores from 2 different smith's.
130 VLDs and 140 hybrids work well in my 165 fb gun. I'm not sure which it prefers yet, but I'm getting lower SDs and ES with the 130s.

I ordered my barrel from krieger and the reamer they use has .155 freebore so thats what i went with. My 308 barrel from them shoots create and im not kidding, it dosent copper foul at all. I even switched bore cleaners with tge kind that turns the patch blue if theres copper present and none. The first wet patch has slight bluing, bit after that none show up
