Host weapon was Walther .22 and FN 5.7 x 28. I was blown away with the performance. The .22 was unbelievable in comparison to an amphibian and TAC .22 can. The amphibian with its ported barrel was equally as quiet as the Sparrow, but with less first round pop. The amphibian is a top performer, but no need to have dedicated weapon any longer. I have a S&W MP15-22 and Ruger MKII being threaded, so can't wait to hear how they sound. The Walther had an air tool sound with either sub sonic or hyper velocity rounds. The internet videos do not do these cans justice. Sights just clear can out of the box.

The 5.7 needs subsonics as it makes a huge crack, but it is very comfortable to be around even with crack. No comparison to unsuppressed of course, which is harsh. I need to find some dies for the 5.7. With the FN and a Tornado Tech threaded barrel the can is not visible while sighting.

Re: Got to play with my new Sparrow SS

Dealer in brewton, al. Good chance I have the can in Birmingham area at some point next year after the form 4 comes in. I have access to an original sparrow, sparrow ss, tac 22, and amphibian, so plenty to compare it to. The spectre would be an interesting side by side if your ever down this way. I have not shot it side by side with original sparrow as of yet. I anticipate the SS would be slightly better due to updated internals.

That first shot with loud crack doesnt jive with what my experience was with tac. really sounds like supersoic crack which would be from some hot ammo. I will check on new internals however.

Re: Got to play with my new Sparrow SS

My Osprey which went pending 11 days before my Sparrow got approved last week so I'm hoping my Sparrow will be approved shortly. I've got a Sig 226 .22 conversion kit with a threaded barrel that will be acting as a host. After seeing these pictures, it's making the wait that much harder.

That's an awesome can. I just got my TiRant .45 in and and I believe that this will be my next can for sure. I'm interested to hear how you like it on the 5.7 once you get some subsonics. I have one as well which is why the appeal for this can is great for multiple hosts like my TiRant.
