Gunsmithing Gotta Drill The R-700 XCR LR B&C Stock !!!

I just ordered a Karsten Cheek Rest so I will have to drill my stock soon. This is my first bolt gun and I don't know what I need to watch out for. I have the Bell and Carlson tactical stock and I read that it has aluminum through it so I'm assuming I have to drill through that... Anyone have any advice here?

Not sure which B&C stock you have but, on my A2 tactical model, the butt portion is hollow for the most part which includes where you will drill for the Karsten. Have at it.

Try not to hit any bones or arteries, both of those can make a big mess.
