By this page, death per population, New York is at 139.7/100,000 and Texas is at 4.1/100,000. Hawaii and Wyoming are tied at 1.2/100,000.

As time goes on, the death per population rate will continue to increase until there are no more deaths by this disease.

The new Johns Hopkins web page links to data for counties. It includes the percentage of fatalities per covid infection. Click on the county in the map and click on the popup. New York county has an 8.71% fatality rate, Harris county (Houston) is at 2.19%.

It is a bit more challenging to find age demographic information but a lot of places have half or more of the deaths in the 75 and up demo.

This is all a moving target.

A greater per cent increase, starting with far smaller numbers, still doesn't get to parity.

Seems basically what they are saying is the areas that have had the fewest cases and deaths will have the highest increase in deaths by percentage. Which makes perfect sense. I didn't need a model to tell anyone that. Places like NYC and Washington who have had the most, it takes many more cases and deaths to make the percentage increase as much.

It makes sense from a modeling perspective. You use population, percent sick, percent died, and percent projected to get sick, and an assumed death rate in this case. If the percent of people who are supposed to be infected is a constant. Places with the lowest percentage of cases will always model with highest amounts, by percentage, of increase in infections and therefore deaths.

the most ridiculous part of that video is the guy calling out Trump for saying immigrants bring disease here. There is no question that is true. Just because the parents want to get their kids vaccinated (whether they are legal or not) has less to do with the diseases prevalant in their home country and more to do with they fact those coming here want their kids to go to a free, public school. Yes, but not for the reason one might think.

If the disease has already run through the cities - which are, as everyone points out, largely Democratic - then where is it most likely to hit next? Yep - rural areas. And those areas are largely Republican. So it doesn't take a partisan slant to figure this out; just some judicious application of Occam's Razor.

It's either that, or the Chinese engineered the virus to first hit people who voted Democrat, and then later mutate into a germ that seeks out Republicans. If that's the case, then someone deserves a Nobel Prize.

Holy fuck, this country as a whole cannot figure out the correct way to calculate percentages. For example, a 10x increase is not "1000% more"; it's 900%. And while we are at it, "decimate" does not mean "greatly reduce".

The numbers were significantly (id say intentionally) lowered so that later areas outside of already festering city populations would show the "greatest increase".

Notice how in 2 days time the death projections doubled? It didnt double in NYC...

What is the aged population and financial means of the elderly in Repub states vs. non-repub states? (i.e. nursing home populations).

Nursing homes and elder care facilities will drive the numbers. No getting outside (vitamin D - actually a hormone & critical for immune system function) and being trapped in the Petri dish - similar to pre-school just at the opposite end of the age spectrum will drive those numbers higher without hydroxychloroquine/Zinc/Z-Pak usage.

Also on aged population with cardiac issues, one needs to be a bit more careful with hydroxychloroquine.

Of course "cooking the books" with how the stats are measured and reported/not reported is the easiest way for this to be the case. Typical of the left.

Oh how I wish mine was a Republican state. As I've stated before, the Governor (Dimslee) in WA is an idiot. His schedule for opening up will have destroyed many of the small businesses here. Some -many are saying screw the Governor, but as far as businesses opening up he has threatened them with losing licenses etc.. He has been sued for over reach, for the extended lockdown, no court news on that front.

As far as the Chines Virus predictions, they have been consistently overestimated as far as the outcomes from what I have seen. Perhaps with some states easing restrictions, we will get some more accurate/valid data.

However the Dems will use and abuse anything in their reach to further their cause, including the destruction of the USA with this latest opportunity.
