A lot of talk about our rifle accuracy in terms of MOA. Some people are actually starting to call it in Mils. See it all over the Internet. My rifle shoot .5 MOA all day long "when I do my part". *Vomit*. This little known web based app allows you to accumulate five shot groups on the same virtual target from real measured targets over time and space. It is simple to use and over the course of the four seasons in a year and at least seven 5 shot groups you will have what your rifle and shooter are capable of doing. It is a humbling experience.

Here is an example of a typical all OEM Savage .308 varmint rifle. I can say with 90% confidence that this is a .65 MOA rifle. But the truth is it is a .92 MOA rifle and shooter when I look at the 99% (R99) confidence level number. These groups were accumulated over a two month period during different shooting sessions. Notice how the shot count is 60. I need more shots added to these to reach the Excellent Confidence bragging right. But statistically speaking not much changed after 30 shots. At 30 shots I had reached the .65 MOA with 90% confidence level but it was just a tad above the Bullshit meter, lol. :)

BTW, no Nodes or Harmonics were injured during the course of this experiment because they were not around. The handloads were all the same combination of PPU brass, N150 powder, and 168 SMK set at 2650 MV to simulate factory match load. Single stage press and Lee FL and seating dies were used. Nothing fancy at all. I think the rifle meets the factory guarantee and it is the shooter that sucks. I need to do more of my part :(
