Local PD put up a buy back thanks to our commie Mayor! 95 guns were sold for a whopping 82.71 a peice! Wanna bet their stolen guns or do we have sheep around?

buy ar blank lowers for SALE PRICE: $37.95 sell in by back for 200 .... i would try it just to see how it would or would not work .
wonder how true this was .

If they are buying them back what was the original price they sold them for.

Betting the locals took a bath, hey its only tax money......more where that came from.
I’m betting most were stolen! We have a liberal commie mayor that’s spending hundreds of thousands asking the thugs not to kill one another via billboards! This guy makes me wanna puke!

I would hope that there are good LEOs present at these buy backs that recognize Neat high buck and/or older guns for the value they have and their worth when Granny turns in a matched number Luger or a pristine P-38 that Gramps brought home from his time in "The War" and rescue them from destruction.

Ideally they would be sold at auction or put in a museum and the money put into their training funds, but I am a realist and know that if a really nice piece were to come in it would likely go into some Slug Porker's pocket and home to become his sate Queen, but there are exceptions. ie an honest LEO looking out for the best thing to get the best bang for the bucks on an item turned in.

That would be better than having them destroyed but still not what I would consider Ideal. You have to take honesty into this equation, and I think it is lacking.

That honest LEO, that knows about firearms, would also put a knot in the ass of anyone trying to sell bullshit items such as a "lead pipe" on a stick as mentioned above just to get the money. FM

That is asking a lot isn't it?

A honest Leo wouldn’t participate in any of that. What they are doing isn’t really violating people’s rights per say, but neither is a lawyer or used car dealer when they fuck you over. If they are pulling that crap now it’s only a matter of time before they are outright violating people’s rights.

Some folks have done well at those buy backs depending on how they are set up. If it is truly a no questions asked, and they will give out either cash, or vouchers for some where you actually want to shop, a person could do well turning in zip guns they found at $200 a pop. I am NOT recommending anyone manufacture any illegal firearms or try to defraud a police department for pretty obvious reasons.

But if some idiot left a piece of pipe attached to a 2x4 that had a BB for firing pin around in your garage or shed, I sure would want to get it out of the house. I want nothing to do with illegal guns.

I swear, if they were to ever do one here, im buying some 3/4" lead pipes and tape them to some wood that may or may not be shaped similar to a gun and selling them to the PD

    This.

Forget the fact that many LEO's have piss-poor shooting skills and that they only shoot "good enough" to pass their quals, but it seems like many "weapons experts" in PD's have shit for brains when it comes to identifying firearms too.

Case here: Fresno gangbanger got caught with a (most likely stolen) .44 percussion revolver and Fresno PD posts it on their Facebook page as a ".44 Magnum". The Internet gun world was quick to call them out. Soon after, the highly embarrassed Fresno PD deleted their post, but not before GUNS.com saved it, along with the witty and vicious replies posted on the page, for all to see.
