very true but once its set in your stock your done right? when you would you have to readjust it? and it would eliminate having to worry about breaking it off your scope

Re: Gun leveling question

I'd actually seen this at a shoot. The guy inlet an area right behind the tang and sunk a level in there. I think it would be a pretty easy job. Quick acquisition also. I'd thought about doing this several months ago.

Find a decent level, inlet the stock. Put a piece of molding clay on the bottom of the hole, sink the level into the clay and squeeze in some devcon or marine tex into the hole and around the level and let it cure up. Make sure the whole set up is square with the world. Sounds straight forward.

Oh and if you don't like it, dremel it out and fill the hole.

Re: Gun leveling question

That would be a good idea for a wood of composite stock yes, but it would get a bit tricky when an aics chassis is in place or guys who have DTA SRS's. They would need to do a bit of milling and permanent modifying. The adhesive would have to stay off of the stock panels and only be applied to the aluminum chassis.
