Has anyone in the Austin area ever used Hank Fleming Gunsmith? I am looking a good smith around the Austin area.

Haven't used him.

If you have a rem 700 or Model 70, try Lex at Rifles Inc, south of San Antonio in Pleasanton.

Also had very good experience with Matt at Hill Country Rifles in new Braunfels.

Not a lot of good options in the immediate Austin area. Hank is probably competent on some jobs, but not friendly and not in a hurry (nor does he care about customer service). Tip Burns in Canyon Lake is top notch.

Isn't Mark Pharr in Roundrock? I might not have the name correct but someone will chime in and correct if wrong......

Tip Burns Does very good work, he is in Canyon Lake.
