Gunsmithing Gunsmith recommendation

Anybody know of a good gunsmith in the New York metro area? I am looking to have a 5R action trued and bedded. I will drive to eastern PA, NJ or NY up to 3 hours. I do not want to send my rifle in the mail due to the hassle of living in NYC. Damn, I remember when you could buy a rifle in the mail from Sears Roebuck or Montgomery Ward.

Jim Borden in Springville, PA is fantastic and just barely a 3 hour ride from Connecticut. Mitch Schultz at Gunsmithing Limited in Southport CT, will also do a great job on that kind of work for you. I have used both. Jim has built rifles for me using his action and Mitch has done stocking, truing and metal work for me.

If you want to stay local, I recommend Bob White in Lkae Hopatcong NJ. Bob is a top flight benchrest shooter and gunsmith. A remington is CAKE for him.

Shame on me, I forgot about Bob. He has done great work for me. Unfortunately, every time I go to his shop I spend lots of money.
