I decided I wanted one of these and wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on the system? Think I am willing to give the new revic scope a try also.

I think the only opinion youll get is "Damn thats expensive!"
But its a complete system and I dont think anyone will tell you its gonna be a piece of crap. Just that they cant justify it themselves.

Thats about what I figured, im just tired of the "custom" problems, have had to have trigger pockets milled, have had to have guns bedded, or just excuses. So I think quality out of the box might be worth it.

alternative is reach out to any of the top smiths and spec a similar build exactly how you want it. action stock barrel caliber trigger etc etc i bet itll be a similar cost or less

Man, I used to be conflicted about them...But if I were a serious hunter who traveled the world or a guide...I would probably get a complete system from them.

Every top smith builds stuff similar to them, so they arent unique. But they have really marketed themselves well.

I don’t own a gunwerks but I do own customs that have cost almost as much and have had these custom problems and wished I had just bought a gunwerks.

I say go for it

Not many guides are going to spring for that rifle and also the physical size might be a problem for an overloaded guide who seldom fired a shot anyway.

These rifles are no more or less prone to issues than that of any other builder. You are paying +30% for the marketing and convenience factor. Might be worth it to you. Your call. They are not magic.

a dealer a few hours away had the setup. So i called and ordered it. It didn't come with the range finder and i made them put the ammo and bipod back in the box. still feel like i took it up the ass.

Welcome to the club. Eventually you learn to use some astroglide and it doesnt sting so much.

It still hurts....but like, 2 years late you forget about it
