According to specs is supposed to be temperature insensitive ball powder with similar case volume fills to H4350.
I love H4350, but I love to shoot too and when the supplies are like now, you have to find alternatives.
Regarding StaBall, velocities are low and pressures spike QUICKLY when you get to MAX, no comparison to H 4350 or RL 16.
It meters well and might work with mid range auto loaders depending on caliber.
N555? is it temp stable?
I've given Hodgdon a call before and got the we are making it as fast as possible and that's as far as that goes!
Mil spec'ing, conspiracy aside.
What Gives!, I mean I'm an OLD Fucker and 20 years ago I never had a problem finding powder/brass/primers anywhere , on the shelves let alone on the inter-webs!
Is demand really that high or is their something afoot Watson?
Tell me about it. Almost thirty years ago we could get what ever we wanted and the quantity was there. Must have been a whole lot less reloaders. And the worst part of it was the factory ammo sucked compared to today.Regarding StaBall, velocities are low and pressures spike QUICKLY when you get to MAX, no comparison to H 4350 or RL 16.

What cartridge (s) are you planning on using it with? The n555 is supposed to be. It’s a new release from VV.
I’m interested in trying it when it does as an alternative to 4350.
It should be hitting shelves soon
VV's new offerings may be sweet, I have only heard of them and not researched. Though I am about to try VV N565 in a 25 saum, I have never really had temp stability issues with N 500 series powders, but can't wait for their stable offerings. The n555 is supposed to be. It’s a new release from VV.

One big thing, Hodgdon is the sole US distributor of VV powders, and I have to say, I don't get this marriage at all.
pretty sure it's a may/summer timeframe for shelvesThe n555 is supposed to be. It’s a new release from VV.

I did not realize Hodgdon was the distributor.
Capstone now I thought along with Berger and lapua.Hodgdon used to be the distributor, that ended about 3 years ago.

not to say some people wont have it sooner hehe
You are right, and I should have known that. Mis info from me, lolHodgdon used to be the distributor, that ended about 3 years ago.
Update! ....--.-..-..---. ( weak attempt at Morse Code!)
Powder Valley now has H 4350, minus the 8lbs I just purchased!
Let the hoarding begin and don't choke on all that toilet paper!
I only concerned myself with the 8 pounders, they are going fast, it said 336 in stock when I ordered and then posted here , could'nt have taken 3 minutes!
