Ok so I am a newb to the reloading AND the AR worlds. Anyhow I have been reloading for my22-250 for about year now. I screwed up and bought h322 instead of 335. No biggie I can swap it out if need be. My question is does anyone use this powder in their AR? I am having second thoughts about the h322 and thinking of just swapping it out for some varget. Since I would like to try it on the 22250. Or would there be a better powder to use in the AR?? Sorry for the rambling to much coffee tonite. 🔫

Re: H322 in .223??

It meters well and has many loads for 223. I would have to look at my Sierra manual but I think it is listed under AR data in the book. I have used it in a 223 bolt pistol and it is great. Not sure about how it would cycle in the AR but I see no reason not to use it if it is listed in the Sierra manual in AR data. I will look when I get off work and get back to you unless someone else chimes in.

Re: H322 in .223??

I have loaded thousands of rounds with h322 for my ar. I loaded 22gr of h322 behind 62gr bullets at a standard oal and I can get moa with an aimpoint on top. It has been very consistent for and it meter very good compared to varget. It's worth a try. It burns clean as well.

Re: H322 in .223??

Well good I will give it a try. Speer #14 calls for magnum primers for h335. So I bought 1k. Think I should swap the cci 450s for the 400's? H322 doesn't call for mag primers and like I said I'm a newb. So I'm not sure on the results of mag vs non mag.

And thanks for the responses!!

Sounds like a plan!! Thanks
