They will be used in my Accuracy International AW, from 100 out to 1000 yards

Re: H335 for 308 ???

I used H335 in 308 for my autoloaders, FAL's G3's AR10 etc, the powder meters well in dillon powder measures but that is about it. First accuracy test revealed some lacking in consistencies and it was temp sensitive. After asking around Palma matches, the consensus was to use varget instead, I did and couple things happened: first accuracy increased and so did my scores, second it didn't matter what month it was. anymore, all the same. the only bad thing with varget is that it won't flow cosistently in dillon powder measures so I had to buy an RCBS chargemaster (darn)
basically if you want to plink or shoot three gun matches or burn lots of ammo cheap H335 is fine, if you want to be competitive at LR matches, switch to Varget.
Hope this helps.

attherange: There's another Hide member that did some work on his dillon powder measure and reported great consistency with Varget after it - claimed all drops were accurate to the .1 . A lot of the work involved putting a mirror polish on the funnel and then reaming the throat of the funnel to remove the edges where it drops to the bar. I think he posted the reamer size and instructions in a thread titled Dillon 550 if you're interested in looking at it.

I will look it up

H335 will work, but there are much better options out there. Varget would be a better choice and is the go to powder for a lot of 308 shooters. If you're looking to stick with a ball powder though, I have had great results from W748.

I have worked up to 24% more H335 than Hodgdon's refers to as max load for 308 168 gr. [only up to 17% is useful]

That powder has the speed-density product to get higher pressures in 308.

Re: H335 for 308 ???

Temperature should be noted when running a test like that. I suspect that it would have a large impact on results with that powder, which is likely why they set a max load number that seems low. They are likely leaving some headroom for pressure rise due to a hot chamber.

Re: H335 for 308 ???

I posted some in the 6mm Crusader thread for RL-25, Retumbo and H1000. There should be some for the 175 SMK with IMR3031 floating around here too.

I'm planning on doing one for that AR Comp powder when it comes out and possible H4350 and H4831SC when I get some more 6mm Crusader loads nailed down.

Re: H335 for 308 ???

For the 155s, look at either IMR8208XBR or ARComp powder (Graf has it now) if you want to throw it in your Dillon. Both should work well with the 155s and will meter slicky through your Dillon without the temp sensitivity of H335.

2000-MR would be another good option, although I am not sure about the temperature sensitivity issues with it.

Re: H335 for 308 ???

Yep, I've used H335 for 10 years. I have a 1:11 twist. I use 168 SMK and 42.5 gr of h335 with CCI benchrest or Federal 210 primers. It ain't the latest and greatest, but my rifle likes it.

Varget is a little more consistant across a wider range of temperatures, but it doesn't meter well for me.

I'm polishing brass right now for loading that load later today.
