I'm looking at buying some glass for one of the builds I am currently working on. I've been looking at the H37 reticle, has anyone had any expereince with these? Did you like or dislike it? Why? Is it really as busy as it looks? I'm thinking a police marksman II is what I will most likely go with.

Re: h37 reticle experience???

I have a H27 on my OBR it's intimidating at first and if most of your shooting is at a 100yd range you won't like it. However if your shooting at distance in real world conditions ie. Nature you will love it. Follow up shots are stupid easy and it makes holdovers a breeze. Once you get the grid down you will never shoot faster. I ran the magpul dynamics PR 2 course with out touching my turrets at all after zeroing. Various ranges from 400 to 1100+ with ridiculous winds. The wind was changing faster than guys could dial their turrets. But like I said earlier it depends on the application.

I have shot horus H37 and h25 reticles for about 4 years now. The great thing about horus reticle is you don`t have to click as much. You can get follow up shots so much faster and more accurately. It looks busy but the more you shoot horus the more you will like it.

Daps and excaliber hit the nail on the head. I have the Horus Falcon with the H-37 on my Titan and I love it! I zeroed the main cross hair at 1000yds and have shot out to 2400yds with success.

The only thing I don't like is when shooting that far (with a 1000yrd zero) it took me 24 mills and I had to crank the magnification down to 10X.

But the follow up shots are very quick since all you have to do is move the reticle. I highly recommend Horus Reticles no matter what scope they are in.

The H-37 is geared more to LR shooting. Where the H-25 and H-425 are more for hunting.

Re: h37 reticle experience???

I've got a bunch of Horus reticle scoped rifles... lessee...

HDM H58 - like it a lot! prolly the best.

H-27 in a USO TPAL - very close second - gets shot the most, it's on an OBR, best rifle in the safe.

H-37, S&B PMII, not mounted on anything yet, but something LONG will be the ticket for that.

A pair of H-25', in Horus 4-16 scopes, one on a 243, other just off a 6.5 CM ( replaced with the HDMA ).

Yes I like them a lot! Nothing changes dope faster in changing conditions. If your spotter has one in his scope also, more the better. We sighted and shot a 50 recently, paired up like that, to 1750, and it was quick, with a minimum of extra, expensive, wasted shots.

Having said all that, the 37 reticle covers a lot of area, unless you need the extreme holds for elevation, get one without so much coverage, like the 27 or the 58. I like watching trace for followup shots, it can get lost in the 37 more so than the others.
