H4831sc and a short action?

I have a lot of it and am also looking for something with more ass than the 6.5 creed or Lapua I currently have has at distance. What's my best options of the 7mm and 30 cal cartridges on a short action? Bolt face can be changed, it's a bighorn. Must mag feed though.

The sweedmoor doesn't do anything for me the creed and Lapua do already honestly. If powder were hard to find, sure I'd go that route but I'm looking for more energy and less wind. Looking into the SAUM and what bullets can be run from a short action magazine as well as the 300 wsm, never gave that a thought.

I had a 7saum built on a S/A several years ago and got was getting 2900's with them. Not sure how fast your trying to push them or your intended purpose for the rifle...

I used a bunch of H4831sc in my 260rem with 139 Scenars
. Very accurate. Also used it in my 22" 6.5cm semi

I tried it in my 7mm SAUM with 162 ELD-M and got good accuracy but velocity was a little low at 2,900 when I hit pressure. I switched to IMR 7828 SSC and get 3,100 FPS with the 162 in the 26 inch bartlein.
