I have a custom 300 Dakota Rem action,Kreger #10 mtu barrel 10 twist, Manners stock and so on. So heres my question?
When I first started reloding for this I was told to use 300 Weatherby max as a start load,and to go to 300 RUM as a max load. Hogdon lists the RUM with a 200 gr bullet using 96gr H50 as a start load. If I back off a bit will it be safe to use? I already e-mailed Hogdon and they said they never had a Dakots round to play with. So I'm asking some of the more experianced magnum shooters. Thanks for any help.
