As shockingly stupid as this woman sounds I can't say I'm surprised. I dated a high school English teacher about twenty years ago. She was new to teaching so she was always eager to talk about her work. The details escape me now but she had explained how they were required to use an updated teaching method where certain aspects of the language were thought to be "intuitive". It was more important to communicate ideas than to "get things right". Things like spelling, punctuation and syntax were left to the student to "discover". This sort of madness has even made it's way into math and the sciences. Public education in the US has gone from bad to worse.

Oh My Gawd, (see what I did there?) I can't believe that stupidity such-as-that is accepted, let alone 'tolerated'. As far as I'm concerned, that being the job this broad has, she should be fired on the spot.
After all, if someone ISN'T capable of doing the job that they were hired for, AND WE UNWILLING TO BE TRAINED let alone 'corrected', then they should not have that position.
