Trying to decide between H&K p30 or FN five seven. Have shot both, like both - only enough dough for one. Anyone have longterm experience with durability, accuracy on these two?

I'm not real familiar with either but I do know when the 5.7 first came out, ammo cost was pretty high. I don't know how much that has changed but it might help be a deciding factor in your decision.

Deciding between two guns is not a fetish, decided between two 4-5K rifles is.
I'm down to 5 H&K's - always solid. The one I had to get rid of had too long a trigger pull for me (P2000). FN five seven just has huge ammo. capacity if your planning any massacres (kidding folks!)..

Well what are you gonna use it for? I hear the 5.7 is extremely accurate but then again the p30's tend to be tact drivers too. The ammo for the 5.7 tends to be pretty pricey and your choices may be limited. The 5.7 has low recoil comparable to a 22mag which makes follow up shots easy. Also std 5.7 ammo can penetrate mild body armor. It also cant fire without a magazine inserted. And as UKDslayer said choosing between 2 handguns at this price lever is not a fetish. I have acquired 11 pistols in 5 years and I'm looking for a 12th in the price range of up to $3K, Than my friend is a fetish.
