Ok guys went out to the range today and shot a couple of shots. Well i had a box of hornady 178 bthp and decided to try them out at 1000yds. So I loaded my mag with my hand loadeds and put my dope in and fiered a couple of rounds, then i loaded the mag with the 178 and fiered one. I noticed that it hit way high, so shot another one and the same thing. I waited a while and shot 3 more and high again. I know that the 178 are shooting 25fps faster than my loads and that they have a higher bc. But would that make them hit 2 to 3 feet higher than my hand loads?

Plugging #s into JBM Ballistics; used 2750 fps and 2775 fps, respectively for 175s and 178s, also used G1 BCs and the same atmospheric values. JBM gave predicted drops at 1000 of 32.9 MOA and 31.3 MOA for the 175s and 178s. That translates to almost 17" or close to 1.5' difference at 1000 yd. That's a little less than what you mentioned, but I also used some pretty generic figures for elevation, temp, humidity, etc. Using your actual values might get you up into the 2' difference range, or maybe not.
