Hard case for f class rifle

I have Pelican and Storm cases because they are "the best" but RTIC makes a decent large hard case for a bit less if you dont want to spend Pelican/Storm money. I sort of prefer my Storm to my 3 Pelicans. Storm is better in all ways to me but shows scratches more.

Pelican has a newer line called Vault. Mine came in yesterday. The double rifle case was 200ish with foam on Amazon. Pretty solid case.

I have used (and currently own) several Pelican cases including two of the Storm iM3100 cases I’m using for carbines. I just recently stumbled on to Nanuk cases. I was in the market for a pistol case at the time and got one of their 4 gun cases. I know it’s not the rifle case but I’m posting some shots of the pistol case just for viewing pleasure lol. I had some hands on time with one of their rifle cases recently though and I will admit that it feels overbuilt, something i appreciate when shopping for a case for a precision rifle. So, I will definitely +1 all the pro-Pelican comments, but just wanted to throw out my .02 on the Nanuk cases as they’ve definitely left a good first impression on me.

Several brands look good to me. The difference seems to be latches, padlock hasps, handles, wheels, hinges, gasket, interior foam and then the actual durability of the case halves.

There are some budget cases that miss on various quality aspects but once you get to acceptable, the interior is what you are going to notice the most which is why I mention Kaizen foam.

Some people pay a lot for a high end case and stick with a generic interior or they spend twice and get a custom cut interior. A lower end good enough case with a DIY custom interior will be pretty comparable to the best you can buy.
