Okay

We finally have the upgrades sorted so now to keep an eye on things and fine-tune them.

We changed the entire URL structure of the site which has an effect of potentially breaking minor that will go hidden until they are used.

With that in mind if you see something and I don't mean navigation issues you all whine about, (clue: if you open the sidebar when the top-level navigation disappears in your phone you can access more navigation) I will see about fixing the minor navigation complaints but not sure the teams' schedule as this took a lot longer than anticipated.

But both the Front Page and Blog articles are not unified with the forum so we can share and reference blog post information. That will be used for more evergreen content so we can reference top-level articles vs trying to find information in a post.

Thanks for hanging in with all the drama a major upgrade entails, it's a ton of work, lots of shifting URL information that has to be tied back up with a pretty bow, but it's finished,

I promise to leave it alone for a while this was enough

Remember at the bottom of the page you can set the theme you like or change the theme based on viewing

This is working out great,

I am now adding in all the missing pieces that were never there before

Few minor hiccups with some premium plugins not seeing the new URLs, but overall, super P-syched about the upgrades,

A better package overall even down to the titling and logos that were never in place for years and years

I actually have social media cards now, so that is working, this makes me happy so nobody will get banned today at least by me, the mods might, but I won't, not until midnight

I have a question. I went to the Observation Devices forum and wanted to search for threads regarding tripods. I am getting some odd result screens. I use the search feature often and have never had this happen. I tried it in both I.E. and Chrome. Am I doing something wrong?

Following is a screenshot of the search results:

The when I click on the title Field Optics.... I get the following screen:

That is an issue with how you are doing it

Just use the normal search and put in Tripod

I can't even get that weird screen you are using

Seems like you are doing something odd to bypass the real search

You are setting yourself up for errors trying to fine tune it

The search is working. I get no weird Results that is all you

Here you can fine tune it but you are better off with a site-wide search vs one specific location for that topic

Results are normal, same as the other one above

I did try the Search Everything from the Forum drop down and I get the correct results.

I still have the problem from the search window on the top right like below. It must be my computer. Sorry to bother you with this and thanks again.

Or the ignorant, How do I post in the PX questions 3x a day, Those I delete without hesitation

Maybe do a screen record and email it

Just to eliminate variables, I rebooted my computer and tried it and I have no problems now. I have no idea what happened. I am sorry I wasted your time. Thank you for your patience and assistance.

it could have been a cache type issue because we changed the domains so radically

Your computer was asking for old links and the new domains were confused,

This soon after a major change is bound to create minor problems here or there,

The site is fundamentally different today than a week ago

Do 3 letter searches still work?

Used the search function and searched krg in the accessories section of px.

Threadloom is back up and working,

3 letter searches are hard but they should be working

Threadloom appears to be part of the issue we are having, we have a plugin causing a weird memory leak so the site is balanced around that right now.

But it is working as far as I know
